I first want to thank everyone that sent Seth a card for his birthday :) He really appriciated it! He takes time to read every card word for word. Seth very much enjoyed his birthday. We surprised him by having his friends come down after church.
Yesterday was his outpatient chemo for session #3. We found out that his ANC count was at 126. ANCs are a type of white blood cells that fight off infections. A normal healthy persons ANC count would be 4000+. His dropped 90% in a week. Now we have to be really careful of germs and sickness. If he gets a fever for any reason he will be admitted to the hospital. Pray he stays healthy. Next week Seth is going to have his blood work done to see if he needs a blood transfusion. His weight is another problem. They were not happy that he is still the same weight. He is so skinny I can see every bone when he takes off his shirt. His checks even look like they are sinking in a little. Seth and I have had most of our disagreements over food. It tires me and him out to be constantly thinking about what he eats, when he eats, and how much he eats. His eating is not anywhere close to what he was eating before surgery in July. I came home yesterday and cried. Seth is so frustrated with being sick and not being able to be a normal kid. Pray for strength for him to get over these hurdles and for grace on our family.

Hi Seth and family-
We are still reading your blog. We've both rejoiced with you, and have shouldered your pain as you ask many difficult questions. Even though there are NO easy answers, we know God promises to journey with you....in the easy and HARD times. Our prayer is for physical healing, and also for peace and contentment in the challenging times too.
Many hugs (the germ-free kind) to all of you.
