March 11th
We have not heard Seth's MRI results yet. We are hoping that means good news. I think we will find out the results today since Todd and Seth will be at the hospital. Today is the start of session #4. He will be staying over night and usually gets his chemo during the night while he is sleeping (or trying to sleep). This is the chemo that makes him sick so please pray that all will go well and his body will not react to the poison they are putting into his body. So far Seth has gained 4 pounds! This is not as easy as it sounds. Seth does not have a huge appetite at least not the kind it takes to gain weight. Todd and I are consumed with his eating. This is getting very tiring for all of us (Seth included). This past week was especially hard with lots of emotions and tears. Seth has been asking questions again the kind there are no answers for such as "why did God pick me to go through this?" and "If God says ask and you will receive how comes when I ask him for this to be over He does not let it happen?". Please continue to pray for emotional strength for our family.

Hi,Seth,
We are so happy you are gaining weight and having more energy.
You are asking tough questions. Seldom does anyone know why he or she has been selected to go through painful experiences. Often years later, they can look back and see good things that came out of the experience, but sometimes there are no definite explanations. We can only cling to God's promises such as "all things work together for good to those who love Him."
And, read the story of Joseph in the Bible. He went through horrible times through no fault of his own, but when good things started happening in his life, Joseph looked back at the bad times and said that all along God had a plan, and what others saw as evil, God saw as good because of the tremendous way God used it to save others.
Seth, your story is not finished. I believe, you will live to experience wonderful things that could not come to pass if this horrible phase had not happened. You are loved by so many, but most of all by God.
We pray for God's peace to be upon you even though none of us understand the whys.

Hi Seth,
Hurray for those four pounds!
As I read about the questions you're asking and what your MawMaw and PawPaw posted, I can only agree and tell you that God gave you very wise grandparents. He will work this for good. I know it's so hard to see that when you're in the middle of something hard - especially when it's taking a long time. It's really a choice we have to make. We'll continue to pray for you.
Danielle for the Kreiders
I am praying for you. Hang in there.
